Learn to capture movement in your camera at our first Welshot Photographic Academy Evening for 2023. Capturing movement is a great skill to have in your photographic technique arsenal. Movement in your images conveys mood and tells a story. Being able to capture movement in water to cars going around a racetrack, getting it right in camera will add huge impact to your photos. At this photography session you will have our wonderful Welshot Model(s) dancing, moving and posing in front of your camera – helping you to capture a range of images that will have you going WOW! The key to capturing any kind of fast motion is to use the correct shutter speeds and at this event you will learn how using different speeds, will give you a wide variety of different looks. You will learn how using lighting, shutter speeds/exposure times all work together – get them working together and you will be sure to make pictures to be proud of. You will be working inside at the Chester Crowne Plaza and working with mains studio flash.

- How to use your camera settings and functions to capture movement
- How to pose and work with Models
- How to use studio mains flash
- How using your shutter speed at different speeds will alter the look of your image
- How to freeze movement
- How to show movement (capture that milky/blurry look)

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Capturing Movement in Camera – Chester Photographic Academy Evening event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.

- Camera and lenses suitable for this event: Any focal length lens of between 35mm and 100mm or standard kit zoom
- Spare Batteries and Memory Card
- Any props you might like to include in your photos
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders.
