This is where you will find all of our photography portfolio-building events! Welshot Progressive events are focused on helping you take your photography to the next level and building a serious portfolio of work.
Welshot Progressive is for you if…
- You are an experienced, more advanced photographer.
- You know your way around your camera and have a good understanding of how it works.
- You are serious about creating a body of work of exceptionally high standards and building a portfolio.
- You are dedicated and committed to:
- Your Continued Professional Development (CPD)
- Learning and experimenting with new techniques
- Having input/influencing a photographic shoot/concept
- You are interested in portraiture, studio, lighting, and working with full-time professional models.
- You want to make images to enter (& win) camera club competitions, and national & international salons.
- You prefer to work in smaller groups in a studio environment.
- You are interested in larger group events if locations, models, and concepts are likely to get you images for a specific reason.
- You value 1:1 tuition dedicated to a specific theme, or concept within the portraiture genre.
- You may be interested in taking your photography further professionally or would like to take on a challenge/project.

Build Your Portfolio Day with Xenia – Portrait Photography at the Welshot Creative Hub
Welshot Creative Hub - 16 Trinity Square Llandudno 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno - North WalesBuild Your Portfolio Day with Xenia – Portrait Photography at the Welshot Creative Hub. November sees us welcoming Xenia to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno for our "Portfolio Building" full day photographic event. Xenia is a professional, full-time model based in Sheffield and with her own photography studio - Zavod. Xenia has extensive knowledge as a photographer and a model. With a deep understanding of how the camera, lighting, composition and posing work together, you will, as a photographer, benefit from her modelling experience, her photographic knowledge and be in an ideal environment to create and make some stunning portraiture for your portfolio. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio lighting, and outside on location, using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least five costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.We know Xenia loves a bit of "Punk" so you can expect some great costumes with Xenia pulling all sorts of shapes for you and your camera!

Welshot Creative Hub - 16 Trinity Square Llandudno 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno - North WalesPortrait Photography – Portfolio Building Session at the Welshot Creative Hub with Xenia - “Friday Night is Studio Night” and we will be welcoming Xenia to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno. Welshot Creative Hub - 16 Trinity Square Llandudno 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno - North WalesOur October "Portfolio Building" full day photographic event sees us welcoming Simone Stocks into the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno. Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience. Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot. Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.
