Themed Photo-Shoot: Recreate A Grand Master Paining with Welshot - Photograph depicting The Singing Butler by ack Vettriano

Always a firm favourite of photographic delegates, this themed photo-shoot: Recreate A Grand Master Painting with Welshot will be no different. For the first time we will be using the St Mary’s Creative Space in the historic City of Chester for a full day event and we will have at least six mains studio flash sets, complete with props, models wearing a stunning array of costumes and mood/vision boards to help you recreate those paintings in your camera. For our 2022 Recreate a Grand Masters themed photo-shoot, we will also be throwing in some contemporary paintings and still-life photography for those who would like to capture something a little different.

The beautiful Italian village of Portmeirion in Porthmadog, North Wales is the venue for this Summer Welshot Photographic Mini Module and Masterclass. From learning how to shoot for High Dynamic images (HDR) to capturing the colour, textures and shapes of this amazing venue in your camera

Built by Sir William Clough-Ellis between 1925 and 1975, he brought the glamour and the beauty of the Italian Riviera here to North Wales and this will be were we will put our cameras to the challenge of capturing the spirit and essence of Portmeirion.

I had the pleasure of attending the Welshot Photographic Academy Evening in Chester where Helen Iles was giving an extended talk a couple of months’ ago, and I wasn’t the only attendee bowled over by her images. Whilst the idea of wild camping on exposed hills is one I might have been tempted by before I got into my 60’s! I was very pleased to secure a place on her second Walking With Your Camera event with Welshot.
