From low-light, long exposure to how to photograph the night sky this Welshot photographic event at Penmon, on the Isle of Anglesey will keep you and your camera busy taking stunning images from before sunset to long after the sun has gone down. You will have two masterclasses – learning how to shoot the golden hour, before catching that sunset and the blue hour that photographers love so much. The second Welshot masterclass will help you to get prepared for an evening of Astro photography to ensure your camera is all set up to catch the night sky. You are going to learn how to make long exposures to capture the sea as it laps the shore and lighthouse as well as clouds and dramatic landscape in low light conditions. For those who would like to learn the art of light painting, we will be lighting up the lighthouse as well as creating some dramatic art. Plenty to photograph and keep you busy on this extensive Welshot Mini Module.

Welshot Does… Downton Abbey at Christmas. Mains studio flash photography, stunning models, authentic costumes from the Cambria Costume House and some pretty cool backdrops (both studio and on location) and you’ve got yourself a great night of portraiture photography at the last Welshot Photographic Academy Evening on Anglesey for 2021. Tonight you will learn how precision, where to place the light, and how it falls on your subject can dramatically effect the look of your image.

Oil Water and Cross Polarisation - Creative Photography

Bokeh Photography and making your own filters is what’s happening at the Welshot Anglesey Academy Evening in October. Based at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris we will be showing you not only how to create bokeh in your images images and helping you to understand all the things you need how to use this creative technique in your own photography but we will also be showing you how you can make your own filters unique to you and your photos.

Heading into the dark with your camera has never been so much fun and that’s just what we will be doing at the Long Exposure Photography – Light Painting Techniques, Chester Academy Evening with Welshot. You will be creating images painted with light using a wide variety of devices and tools such , torches, EL wire and props. We will be on location during this shoot, visiting the many historic backdrops in Chester and using them to our advantage to enhance our photographs.

This, Car Photography on Location – Mini-Module with Masterclass from the Welshot Photographic Academy, event covers everything you need to know about how to make, create and capture stunning car photographs. Team Welshot will take you through everything you need to know, from lens choice to camera settings and functions to use to get the best from your camera. From learning how to minimise reflections in the metallic surfaces to useful lighting techniques such as gradient lighting and light painting. Throughout this in-depth Welshot Photographic Mini-Module you will be taken through the shooting procedures step-by-step while you practice for yourself and get yourself a great set of dynamic images for your portfolio.

The beautiful Italian village of Portmeirion in Porthmadog, North Wales is the venue for this Autumn Welshot Photographic Mini Module and Masterclass. From learning how to shoot for High Dynamic images (HDR) to capturing the colour, textures, and shapes of this amazing venue in your camera.

It’s all about Piers & Portraits – Off Camera Flash Photography at our first Welshot Anglesey Academy Evening at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris, North Wales. Our Model(s) will be posing against the beautiful backdrop of the Menai Straits and the foothills of the Snowdonia mountain ranges, and helping you to create and make some great portrait images using off camera flash as well as using the available natural light. From simple and elegant headshots on the pier, to dramatic and creative poses and splashing on the beach this event will be perfect for those who want to learn the techniques and skills required to capture some stunning portraits.
