Piers & Portrait Photography – Llandudno & Colwyn Bay
It’s all about Piers & Portraits and off camera flash photography at this on location photo-shoot Welshot full day photo-shoot in Llandudno, North Wales. Our Model(s) will be wearing a wide range of fashion outfits and posing against the beautiful backdrop of the Llandudno Bay, otherwise known as the Queen of Resorts, specifically, the pier, the promenade and the colonnades. Team Welshot will be helping you to create and make some great portrait images using off camera flash as well as using the available natural light. After a refreshment break, we will then move to Colwyn Bay to for the next session – capturing our portraits using the “Golden” and “Blue” hours before and after sunset. From simple and elegant headshots on the pier and promenade, to dramatic and creative poses on the new Colwyn Bay Pier this event will be perfect for those who want to learn the techniques and skills required to capture some stunning portraits. We even have a back-up plan if the weather isn’t playing ball!

Beginner to photography? We’re here for you.
Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Piers & Portrait Photography – Llandudno & Colwyn Bay event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.
Event Schedule
13:00 – Meet at the Welshot Creative Hub – 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno
13:40 – Photography starts – 1:1 and group tuition on location in Llandudno – Pier, Prom and Colonnades.
16:30 – Refreshment Break – Hot & cold drinks and you are welcome to bring your food to eat in the co-working area
18.00 – Photography resumes – Colwyn Bay Pier
19:00 – Portraiture in the “Golden Hour” – Colwyn Bay Pier
20:11 – Sunset
20:15 – Portraiture in the “Blue” Hour
21:00 – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event: 50mm / Standard Kit Lens / Your Favourite Lens
- Spare Batteries and Memory Card
- Refreshments such as snacks, drinks and lunch for yourself (lunch is not included in this event) to keep you going throughout the day.
- Any props you might like to include in your photos
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders.
Please Note
- Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cold drinks are included but you will need to bring your own food for the break.
- This is an outdoors event. Please make sure you come dressed appropriately.
- If weather conditions are unfavourable this event will become an “Indoor” photo-shoot at the Welshot Creative Hub and if conditions improve we will move outside
