Welshot Progressive events offer you the chance to move your photography on by providing you with professional models, a wealth of props to suit any genre, equipment you may not have access to at home and the freedom to explore creatively with your camera. Best of all, there is expert advice right there for you – but only when you need it: just like that safety net.
Welshot Progressive isn’t about telling you what to do: it’s your opportunity to experiment and create, to find out what might happen if you used different lighting or asked the model to pose in a particular way. Eifion and the rest of the team won’t be teaching or lecturing you – they will be facilitating you, just like a safety net allows the tightrope walker to practise their art creatively in a safe setting. I have been a Welshot delegate for over six years and initially joined to learn about working in a studio. Up to this point my only attempt at flash photography was a poor attempt with the flash on the camera. Welshot Creative Hub - 16 Trinity Square Llandudno 16 Trinity Square, Llandudno - North WalesBuild Your Portfolio Day with Xenia – Portrait Photography at the Welshot Creative Hub. November sees us welcoming Xenia to the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno for our "Portfolio Building" full day photographic event. Xenia is a professional, full-time model based in Sheffield and with her own photography studio - Zavod. Xenia has extensive knowledge as a photographer and a model. With a deep understanding of how the camera, lighting, composition and posing work together, you will, as a photographer, benefit from her modelling experience, her photographic knowledge and be in an ideal environment to create and make some stunning portraiture for your portfolio. This comprehensive session will take place in a studio environment using mains studio lighting, and outside on location, using off camera flash, (if weather permits) with at least five costume/outfit changes this evening photography session will cover everything from lighting to composition while giving you lots of hints and tips, ensuring that you develop a well-rounded skill set to take home with you.We know Xenia loves a bit of "Punk" so you can expect some great costumes with Xenia pulling all sorts of shapes for you and your camera!

Simone is a professional, full-time model based in London and Derby with 10 years experience. Simone has passion for being on both sides of the lens and has a deep understanding of how light brings notable energy to a photoshoot. Without a doubt, as a photographer, you will not only benefit from her modelling experience but get a unique insight from a photographic point of view as well which will help you too create some stand-out images for your portfolio.
