Working with ethically sourced bugs, insects and critters, flowers and man-made objects will ensure you will still get an evening of photography regardless of the weather outside.

Macro & Close-Up – Miniature People & Creative Photography – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening

Creative, inspirational and fun – the genre of Miniature People photography is all of these things and more and is guaranteed have you making and creating some fantastic images at this Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening.   By integrating true scale objects, from food to every day items you can find around your home the idea is to build real scenes, that look almost realistic.  By using your imagination you will soon see the potential for creating and making photos in miniature is inexhaustible. Your weekly food shop, or a child’s toy box will become a world of inspiration and an adventure.  Ordinary household items and foods will now be a child’s playgrounds, or ramps and jumps for a miniature skatepark. The limit truly is your own imagination.  As well as making creative images at this Academy Evening for your portfolio you will learn the art of macro and close-up photography, how using your cameras setting and functions can give your images a different look and feel and learn how to light your composition using light-boxes and light pads.

Our first Walking with Your Camera – A Guided Photo Walk with Helen Iles for 2023 and it’s a Welshot Mini Module with Masterclass – on this photographic event which takes place in the stunning Bodnant Gardens in North Wales we are going to help you get the best from your camera. In our Welshot masterclass you will learn the photographic technique of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and learn how to compose your images. Walking with your camera is about being in the great outdoors and capturing the surroundings in your camera. From long exposures to abstract water compositions to macro and close-up photography, capturing the flora and fauna, this day has it all for the photographer.

This Welshot Open Evening is for those who have never experienced Welshot before but would like to find out a little more about what we do and how we help those who are just starting out at the beginning of their photographic journey.  You can come and go as you please, there will be no restrictions and there will be a variety of photographic sessions for you to get involved with, or just look and watch – it’s up to you.  Our whole Team will be there, and on hand to help you with any questions – from helping you to decide what camera is right for you, to capturing an image or three.

Macro, Shape, Form and Texture Photography at the Welshot Anglesey Academy Evening is just the thing you need to get creative with your camera. From flora and fauna, oil and water, props and poses to light, shadow, colour, and textures – the studio at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris, Anglesey will be abuzz with clicking camera shutters while you take part in at least four different photographic modules all designed to help YOU get the best from your camera and photography.
