Steampunk Meets Dieselpunk – A Welshot Themed Photo-Shoot

Join us at our first Themed Photo-Shoot of 2023 for what promises to be an exceptional day of photography.  This Welshot inspired nod, in essence, is a homage to vintage, Victorian fashion with a modern, sassy twist - Think Victorian Industrial meets Mad Max Futuristic. At this Welshot event, with at least four Models (Male and Female) we will be using bustles, corsets, gowns, and petticoats; suits with waistcoats, coats, top hats, tailcoats and spats; and military-inspired garments.  Most of the costumes will be bespoke to Welshot, having been made, or adapted, by our Team Creative.As well as our bespoke costumes, we will have at least four different, specifically printed backdrops, that are unique to Welshot - all with an array of props for you to use throughout the day, ensuring you will leave this event with images to be proud of.

Perfect your portrait photography at this on location shoot at the Welshot Photographic Academy Evening.  Our Models, wearing Dresses and Docs, and using the beautiful Llandudno Bay in North Wales as their backdrop, will be working hard to help you capture some stunning portraiture, using both off camera flash and natural, ambient lighting. We guarantee fun, frolics and frivolity as they pose for the camera, before and after the sun sets on the horizon, then, we've got a chance to do some low-light portraiture too!  Think portraits and piers, swishy dresses, stomping boots and biker jackets.  From posed portraits to those candid shots - this portrait photography session will help you learn a thing or three about lighting, hone your already gained skills or just help you to enhance your photographic portfolio. One Face - Five Ways - Headshot Portraiture - Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening

Tonight at the Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening it's all about Headshot Portraiture - shooting in the studio as well as out on location.  You will be creating five completely different looks from your model(s) using a wide variety of photographic and lighting techniques.  From creating silhouettes to using gels.  From shooting in black and white to creating bokeh in your portraits, from shooting in the Golden/Blue Hour to using a single light - the only limiting factor will be your creativity.  We will be using props such as car windows, guitars, mirrors, hats and scarves and you will even learn how to use the surroundings around as your background to your advantage.  Studio mains flash, off camera flash and natural light will, again, help you to create differing looks to your photographs.  Using shadows, natural and created in the studio will also help you to be creative and think outside the box while you make some really effective images.

1960's Fashion - is there anything more iconic? At this fashion (1960's) photography event based at the Chester Crowne Plaza we will be using mains studio flash as well as off camera flash lighting to help you make images that you can be proud of.  Your models will be wearing the flamboyant clothing that this era was known for - from bright, bold prints and make-up to high heeled boots and beehive hairstyles! Shooting in a studio environment as well as using the hotel as your backdrop you will be working in small groups with one to one shooting time with your models.  Backdrops, props and a wide range of clothing will all be supplied by Welshot.  All you have to do is charge your batteries, grab your camera and come make some great photos.
