It’s all about seascapes, low-light, long exposures and night sky photography. Charge your batteries, pack your kit bag (with a memory card or three) and grab your camera and head to Anglesey, North Wales. Specifically Penmon Point Lighthouse. From a how to shoot the night sky masterclass to getting creative long exposures, this Welshot adventure will have you making images to be proud of. While we can’t guarantee a sunset, or that the stars will align and come out to play, we will help you to shoot in those-low-light conditions which will make for some dramatic images.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.
The Welshot Team will be at hand throughout this Photography at Penmon Lighthouse on Anglesey – Roving Photographic Academy Evening event to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about photography and your camera.
Event Schedule
18:30 – Meet at Penmon Pont Anglesey – Welcome & introductions
19:10 – Golden hour photography masterclass (to help you catch that sunset we are going to have)
20:10 – Sunset and blue hour photography
21:10 – How to shoot the night sky masterclass – Getting you prepared to shoot in low-light / long exposure and maybe the night sky if conditions are favourable
22:00 – Finish
Please Bring
- Camera and lenses suitable for this event – Wide angle if possible or standard zoom
- Spare (Fully Charged) Batteries and Memory Card
- Tripod / Cable release if you have one
- Refreshments – Snacks or drinks you think you will require during the event
- Camp chair / blanket to sit on
- Torch plus head touch, preferably with a RED light
- A list of ideas, help, questions etc that you would like to discuss with Welshot Team Leaders
