The idea for this Welshot, Still-Life in Miniature event was born from a visit of some friends to Anglesey in North Wales – the weather was too bad for any of the nature photography they’d hoped for but they’d packed their car with all manner of props, backdrops, fabric and flowers – all of the miniature (think Dolls House) size. Once you’ve picked your props, it’s time to learn how to style and compose your photo – from using natural light to continuous photographic lighting this is the perfect indoors table top photographic project.

Christmas Creative & Still-Life Photography – Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening

Creative Christmas Photography at the Llandudno Photographic Academy Evening is all about having some fun with your camera while you create some wonderful seasonal still-life and floral photographs. At the November Welshot Academy Evening at the Welshot Creative Hub you will be learning how, by using fairy lights, and Christmas trees to capture that lovely Bokeh in your camera which makes for some stunning and festive images. We will have a range of Christmas flowers and props so you can style a floral Christmassy still-life. From flat-lay to still-life photography this will be an opportunity for those who want to make festive and seasonal images for a specific purpose – art work, Christmas cards, stock photography or just for the pure fun of learning something new and a chance to take some photos. Hot chocolate, Christmas mince pies, Christmas crackers will complete this last Llandudno Academy Evening for 2023.

Macro & Close-Up Floral Photography. Macro photography (or close-up photography) is a photographic genre that some people struggle with but at our Full Day photographic event, based in the Welshot Creative Hub in Llandudno, Team Welshot will take you through step by step of everything you need to do to create some stunning macro photography images. At this event we will be working with a wide variety of flowers, using natural, ambient and artificial light, which will ensure you will still get a day of photography regardless of the weather outside. There will be ample opportunity for one to one tuition as well as in a small group setting (this event is limited to just 4 people) where you can collaborate with other delegates. With a whole day of photography ahead of you, there will be plenty of time to get creative, experiment and make some stunning images which you can be proud of.

Our whole Team will be there, and on hand to help you with any questions – from helping you to decide what camera is right for you, to capturing an image or three.

Macro, Shape, Form and Texture Photography at the Welshot Anglesey Academy Evening is just the thing you need to get creative with your camera. From flora and fauna, oil and water, props and poses to light, shadow, colour, and textures – the studio at The Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris, Anglesey will be abuzz with clicking camera shutters while you take part in at least four different photographic modules all designed to help YOU get the best from your camera and photography.
